This Privacy Policy explains how Payday (“we”, “our”, “the app”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application to track EMIs, loans, and payment reminders.

Information we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, and profile photo when you sign in with Google.
• EMI and reminder data: loan names, amounts, due dates, categories, and payment history that you enter into the app.
• Device data: notification tokens used to deliver payment reminders, and basic app diagnostics.

We do not ask for or store your bank account numbers, card numbers, or any credentials for third-party financial services.

How we use your information

• To sync your EMIs and reminders securely across devices.
• To send local and push notifications ahead of your payment due dates.
• To authenticate you via Google Sign-In.
• To maintain and improve the reliability of the app, such as diagnosing crashes.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Firestore, Auth, and Cloud Messaging), which applies industry-standard security practices, including encryption in transit and at rest. Data you enter is scoped to your account and is not visible to other users.

Offline data

Payday works offline by keeping a local copy of your EMIs and reminders on your device. This local copy syncs to your account automatically once you're back online.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with service providers (such as Firebase) strictly to operate the app, and never for advertising purposes.

Your rights

You can edit or delete any EMI or reminder directly in the app at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, go to Profile → Delete Account in the app, or see our account deletion page for full instructions.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
